Making a List, Checking it Twice...

Bags, tissue paper, ribbon, tape, labels, Priority Mail boxes, UPS boxes, Advil, chocolate Santas, Peppermint Pop Rocks, stocking stuffers, batteries, gift certificates, the list goes on and on. And the crazy thing is, in the middle of it all, I need to be placing my orders just about now for Valentine's and Easter candy. Ah, the life of retail...and I wouldn't trade it for anything! Made it through another Black Friday, and have just learned about Cyber Monday. Time will tell...

An old adage

I know what they say -- "if you can't say anything nice, don't say it at all" -- and I usually find this to be the case. But not always. This is my blog, and I get to say whatever I darn well please...yippee! It's a very long and involved story, and I won't bore you with the details, but I was taken by a website design company called Planteria. There, I said it! Ha!Ha! I'm not here to talk trash about them (though I will if you call and ask for specifics), but to merely forewarn others who are thinking of having them design a website. And though some suggested I take the matter to the Better Business Bureau, it really doesn't help when they tell people that they designed my site, and have me listed as a client on theirs. An extremely dissatisfied ex-client, but they don't mention that. Instead, they direct you to my site, which now looks good, but only with the help of others that came onboard after the train derailed. Truly, if you've happened upon my site through Planeteria, I have one word for you...DON"T!

Skating through the blog

I am a product of the fifties, and would be much happier trying on a new pair of roller skates than trying to figure out how to blog. Or other things on my computer, for that matter. But with the help of my website/blog master/guru, Andrew, I am making the attempt. I'm sure the nice people at GoToMeeting are very happy to have his business. He had to walk me through every possible step, more than once, just to figure out how to sign in. But he held my virtual hand until we got to this nifty little box where I can type...or post...or blog! Hey, I think I'm doing it! And I didn't even skin my knee in the process. Phew! Stay tuned, I'll be back with tidbits and morsels of life at Tiddle E. Winks. Thanks, Andrew...I survived!
